Passages Resource Centre assists marginalised homeless and troubled youth in Perth. For the past few months many stallholders at the weekly Stirling Farmers Market, organised and run by the Rotary Club of Karrinyup, have been generously donating fruit, vegetables, bread, eggs, meat and cooking oil at the conclusion of the market. This produce is being used by Passages staff and the youth to cook nutritional soups and meals for those accessing the Centre.Read more...
Over three years ago, Professor Harvey Coates AO, Clinical Patron, Earbus Foundation of WA, envisaged a mobile 'go anywhere' clinic capable of travelling to remote areas of the northwest of Western Australia. For patients unable to travel to a town clinic, it was necessary to take the clinic to them in the battle against the exceedingly high incidence of ear disease among the population of that area. Professor Coates is thrilled that, thanks to the efforts of the RC Karrinyup, this vision has now become a reality.Read more...
Rotary District 9455 to be held in March on 24rd/25th & 26th March 2017
The conference commences with a Sundowner on the 24th from 6pm – 10pm. A full day conference on Saturday the 25th March with Sunday morning featuring Rotary projects and the Four Way Speaking contest along with Optional tours to various projects in the afternoon.
